making musicians
Once our students have decided on which instrument they would like to play, we offer instrument specific classes that offer a range of instruments within the instrument group. Some instruments are too big for little fingers to play, even if the students are capable, so we use smaller instruments to build the skills needed. These class will allow our students to develop instrument specific skills, with the variety of instruments from that family group.

strumming stars (guitar/ukulele & Vocals)
(7-14 years)Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced
Ukulele, guitar and vocals.
Required prior knowledge: Students who attend these classes will need to have a working knowledge of the ukulele and be able to successfully play C,Am, F and G chords, whilst singing.
Aim: To transition students who would like to play the guitar. Students are slowly introduced to the more complex guitar whilst still utilising the ukulele to maintain skills.
Benefit of a group ukulele/guitar lesson: The guitar is a complex instrument for a beginner and takes a little more practice, muscle memory and finger strength. Certain skills take some time to get the hang of before the fun learning can happen, this is why we continue to play the ukulele to develop all the skills necessary to successfully play the guitar. We also use voice as part of our lessons as this make the learning even more engaging, setting our students up for success.
